1) Communication Skills For Leaders and Managers

One of the most important jobs a leader has to solve the difficulties of opinion and personality clashes which are inevitable when human beings work together. One of the key factors to encourage proper communication is for the leader to create an atmosphere where an employee is fully aware of both company and department policies and procedures, and is free to communicate and "be heard" by leadership. In the majority of communication difficulties, usually both parties have some deficiencies, some in the wrong approach, some in no communication at all, or some in the lack of listening skills. Let us work with you to help you establish an effective way of communicating. Proper interaction between leaders and staff can be a major contributor to an organization's success. Lack of it can cause continual problems and loss of productivity.

2) Teamwork

Most of us are taught what a "team" is as we are growing up, well before we enter the business world. Generally this concept is taught in a sports situation such as baseball, football, soccer, etc. Loosely defined, a team is a coordinated group of individuals, who by combining their talents, endeavor to achieve a predetermined goal or objective. The "team" actually takes on an existence of its own. For the most part, the individuals that comprise that team capitulate their individual agendas, special interests, and ambitions to become a link in the chain to achieve the team's objective. Being a member of an effective team takes sacrifice on EVERYONE'S part. Members of a team, who take it upon themselves to satisfy their own individual and personal goals without operating in concert with the team, weaken the overall unit. If enough team members behave in this manner, it can render the team ineffective, and in some cases destroy the unit. Please join us in examining this critical concept which dictates the growth and well being of any organization. We will review all the factors that contribute to good team building and illustrate the "warning signs" that will tell you that the "ship is going off course.

But, do not despair: "cliques" cannot only be managed, they can be used to foster higher productivity within an organization if this technique is used correctly. Please join us for this session to find out how!

Businesses are people, and people are accountable for their own ethics and morality. If you look at the good businesses, they run their firms the way they would want others to treat them: with honor and credibility. They utilize the same value systems when dealing in the business world, that they would outside the office, in their everyday lives. Their clients, their staff, and their associates are treated with respect and dignity. No wonder these are some of the most successful businesses in the world. Their staff will literally do anything for them! This session will review how you and other leaders in your organization can function as "role models," and pave the way for ethical behavior within your organization. Obviously there is no way to anticipate every conceivable situation where a customer may voice a complaint about your firm, but this session will explore some options on how to handle these types of problems and preserve good client relations.
